Everyone knows that to have a pet, you have to be sure you are following through with all of the things that you need to do to make your pet happy and healthy. Some people like to have animals and be involved in the breeding process, and this is a decision that you might decide to make. However, when you have pet birds, as when you have other animals, there are several things that you have to keep in mind before you begin breeding.
You should never get into the business of breeding your pet birds or any other animal unless you want to do good things for the particular breed. You should never get into the business of breeding animals for the money, or for the experience. If you want to be breeding your pet bird, you have to be sure that you are doing it so that you can help the breed of bird that you have, and that you can do good things for the birds. You want to be sure that your motives are completely genuine, because breeding for money always leads to problems.
After you are sure that you are breeding animals for the right reasons, the next step to take is to make sure that you have all of the knowledge that you need to be breeding that particular animal. With birds, this means that you have researched the type of bird you are breeding and that you understand what this kind of bird needs to thrive and what its breeding and producing of babies takes from the owner. You have to be sure that you have all of the things that are necessary, and that you have done all of the research that you have to do to make sure that the breeding can be successful.
The last thing that you have to be sure that you are doing is being a responsible breeder. This goes along with breeding of any animal, not just your birds. Being a responsible breeder means that you are willing to learn about the birds, and that you are willing to find homes for any offspring that you might have. Being a breeder that is responsible is something that you have to strive to be, and there are a lot of things that go along with it. This is why breeding of animals is something that you have to think about and make wise decisions about first.

This is in memory of Rosie. She was the best friend a man could ever have. Rosie was a mixed breed dog that happily lived on a small farm in Oregon. She was a healthy, vibrant dog that loved everybody and everybody loved her. Well, just recently she became ill. She quit eating and just laid around which was not Rosie at all. So it was time she needed to visit the Vet. She continually was getting sicker and had many costly test run trying to diagnose the problem. The tests were inconclusive and now needed to go to a specialist. The cost were overwhelming! Her best friend and owner spent the months bill money and had to borrow more money to pay the bills because today most Vets do not give credit. Rosie was finally diagnosed with cancer and had to be euthanized to end her suffering.
This was a great hardship for Rosie’s family. Pet insurance would have eased some of the financial burden. It will not bring back Rosie but they would have not had to use their bill money and borrow the money they will have to pay back now.
When is a good time to get pet insurance?
It’s always better to enroll pets while they’re young—before pre-existing conditions develop, or an accident or illness occurs. There is no such thing as a “pet-proofed” home. Potential hazards loom even in the best-protected homes. How many times has a pet been injured when they accidentally got out of the house or took a tumble down the stairs? Additionally, pets tend to hide many health problems, which is why it’s important to visit your veterinarian for routine checkups. Routine blood screening panels and urinalysis can detect hidden health problems.
Pet insurance can help make sure you’ll never have to make a financial decision about your pet’s well-being. With the costs of veterinary care rising, there’s never been a better time to protect your pet! With pet insurance, you can be prepared for the unexpected.

Well here we are at the dreaded flea and tick season again. About this time of year your dog or cat start to spend more time outside in the yard. I am sure you have noticed how much they love to just lay around and sun themselves during the summer months.

Do you ever have one of those stressful days when you end up having a mind block and can’t think straight? Boy I sure have! It would be one of those days when I had to order product to replenish the inventory for the shop, an employee would call in sick and now you were short handed on a busy day and the shipment of tropical fish didn’t arrive on time.

If you are thinking of adding a pet bird to the family there are a few things that you should consider. Of course the first thing is, how much can you spend on a complete setup for your new bird? This would be the cage, accessories and of course the bird itself. This can be as little as $50 and can run into the thousands. Here are a few things you should think about.
